complete mechanization of a benevolent farm that feeds street children (kinshasa)
The Democratic Republic of Congo is one of the largest and most populous countries in Africa. It is also the African state that has seen the greatest number of wars in the
past 60 years. The reasons for these conflicts are many, and include the mineral wealth of some regions, and the effects also on the Congo of the Tutsi-Hutu genocide (which began in the neighboring states of Rwanda and Burundi).
In Congo, Rosa Rossa provided significant help to a benevolent farm near Kinshasa (the capital city) that was set up to feed the street children of the capital. They also provide them with hospitality and study and training opportunities.
Thanks to the Rosa Rossa intervention, the benevolent farm is now fully mechanised, thus significantly increasing the agricultural output and the number of children beneficiaries.
